I love the whole idea of "street" photography - taking pictures in public places, of people, and cityscapes with or without people involved. It's the comfort of familiarity that draws me in - the consistent vision that planted itself in me decades ago, almost as if this is what cameras are really for. I now try to expose it for others to see.

My next stage is portraiture. With this site, I'm setting myself up to stretch that enveloping vision around those who are prepared to subject themselves to my lens. I find the relationship between subject and artist to be almost embarrassingly intimate, given how little they know each other, and how much photographs reveal.
